Cha Cha Cha Ultra Trail
On the 11th and 12th September this year, Lottie and Emma, the talented team behind the Cha Cha Cha Ultra Trail series, will host the event for it’s second year running. With four races, from 10km to 82km, their aim is to offer something for everyone.
Here is a breakdown of the 4 distances:
11.9.2021 – The “Cha Cha Cha Ultra 82” is designed with personal challenge in mind, pushing you to your limits. The longest and most difficult trail of the series is aimed at experienced trail runners. It covers 82km and 5,900m of elevation difference, so you’ll need to be physically and mentally ready for the challenge.
11.9.2021 – The “Cha Cha Cha 21” offers a half-marathon distance with a steep ascent and is open to all ages and levels of ability. Set off from Le Châble and finish at the stunning Lac de Champex, covering over 21km and 1,200m of elevation difference.
12.9.2021 – The “Cha Cha Cha 43” offers a marathon distance with tough climbs along the stunning trails of the Verbier valley. This race is for intermediate to experienced trail runners and covers 43km with 2,950m of elevation difference.
12.9.2021 – The “Cha Cha Cha 10” is an introduction to trail running for all ages. Circumnavigate the valley floor with this fast and fun course. A few climbs and technical sections are balanced by some fast descents. Come and enjoy the trail and take part in this community race.
Founded on four underlying principles: community, connection, adventure and exploration. All runners from all running communities are invited to get involved and join the metaphorical “dance” through the heart of the Swiss Alps. The name “Cha Cha Cha” symbolises the dance-like meditative qualities that can be achieved when trail running in the “flow state”.
There are great viewing points around the trail, all of which begin down in Le Chable.
