Christmas is such a magical time of the year and arguably there is nowhere better to spend it than in the snowy Alps! The backdrop of the mountains, the chocolate box chalets and the streets of Verbier adorned with ski-themed decorations and festive lights are sure to get you into the Christmas spirit.
Every December in resort, Place Central sports an impressive Christmas tree beautifully decorated with large baubles and twinkling lights and the atmosphere at this time of the year is always buzzing.
There’s no doubting that our in-Resort Team’s favourite time of year is the lead up to Christmas and preparing our chalets for our guests over the festive period. Before your arrival, our chalet hosts will be busy decorating your chalet and stoking the fire to ensure a warm and festive welcome.
For those of you with young children hoping to experience some Christmas magic, we can arrange for Father Christmas to visit your chalet. Our chefs can even bake some cookies for the children to decorate, as well as ensure there is a carrot for Rudolph and a mince pie left out by the fireplace on Christmas eve to really add some SVE magic. Keep an eye-out for some snowy footprints left in the morning!
Our in-resort team are always on had to add some extra special touches to your holiday and can help to organise Christmas-themed movie nights with delicious freshly popped corn, cosy games nights in the chalet, or perhaps some traditional Swiss favourites such as cheese raclette or chocolate fondue. For those wanting to experience some Alpine Winter adventures, we can also organise for you to glide along the slopes in a husky-drawn sledge, or perhaps some night-time snowshoeing under the stars!
Our chefs are more than happy to tailor your Christmas day meal to you and your own family traditions. Whether that be a traditional juicy turkey as the main event, or something else. They’ll ensure you have all of the added extras such as buttery mince pies, hot mulled wine, spiced eggnog, homemade cranberry sauce, a boozy Christmas pudding or anything else you’d like!
