Although many of our guests come to Verbier for the extraordinary skiing, there are activities available for non-skiers.
If thrill-seeking is your thing, how about getting the adrenaline pumping with a tandem parapent flight? Soaring high above Verbier, you will be treated to the most amazing bird’s eye view of the resort and dramatic mountain scenery beyond. Alternatively, if you prefer something closer to the ground there’s always ice skating on the indoor rink at the Verbier Sports Centre.
If you’re someone who likes to take things at a more leisurely pace, there are some beautiful walks around Verbier and the surrounding forests, with or without a guide. For those looking to venture further afield, you will find countless snow shoeing and cross country ski trails. Another great way of exploring the spectacular terrain around Verbier is to take a husky dog sled ride, available on a limited basis throughout the season.
Walkers’ lift passes are available too, taking those with a head for heights as far as the lofty summit of the 3,330-metre Mont Fort, where the dramatic viewing platform allows you to gaze down on a myriad of glaciated mountain peaks, including the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.
The Valais region is renowned for its wines, so why not take part in a tutored wine tasting session or visit some of the local vineyards? We can organise tours to the thermal baths at Lavay Les Bains or the medieval Château de Chillon on the shores of Lake Geneva.
We can book yoga sessions in your chalet or arrange for our in-resort massage therapist to give you a relaxing spa treatment, facial or pedicure. Verbier also has some fabulous shops, and four of the town’s best restaurants can be reached by both ski and road. So if some members of your party are skiing, our in-resort driving team can take you to meet them at some wonderful sunny lunch spots.
